Backlit film
Film for illuminated displays
Backlit film is a translucent, non-adhesive print substrate developed for graphics illuminated from behind. Its milky semi-matt surface helps distribute light evenly and supports vivid colour.
Image quality
The film produces sharp detail and smooth tonal transitions. Multi-layer printing can be used where greater density is required for consistent colour in daylight and after the light source is switched on.
Applications
Backlit film is widely used in citylights, bus shelters, petrol stations, retail lightboxes, illuminated signage, scrolling displays and public information systems.
Installation
The printed film is normally placed inside a protective display or tensioned within a suitable frame. Even illumination and careful artwork preparation are essential for the best result.
