Backlit banner material

What is a backlit banner?

A backlit banner is a translucent large-format print material developed for illumination from behind. Its structure spreads light across the entire graphic, producing an even, high-impact image without distracting hot spots. It is especially effective where the message needs to remain visible around the clock.

Key properties

The material combines good light transmission with the durability expected from a professional display substrate. It supports vivid colour, sharp detail and reliable performance in lightboxes and illuminated structures. Depending on the installation, it can be finished with eyelets, pole pockets, keder or reinforced edges.

Where it is used

Backlit banners are used in citylights, illuminated pylons, retail lightboxes, petrol stations, transport hubs, shopping centres, exhibitions and branded interiors. They are suitable for both permanent and campaign-based communication.

Printing and installation

UV and latex printing are commonly used, with multi-layer printing available where greater colour density is required. Correct tension and evenly spaced LED lighting help achieve a smooth surface and balanced illumination.
